
Aviators fall in game one to San Angelo

ROBSTOWN, TEXAS â The Coastal Bend Aviators (2-2) came up short to the San Angelo Colts (4-1) 4-2 Tuesday night at Fairgrounds Field.
Steve Sherman hit a homerun to put the Colts up 1-0 in the top of the first inning.
John Anderson hit a double for San Angelo to score two in the top of the second inning to make the score 4-0.
Lance Rankin hit a solo homerun to put the Aviators on the scoreboard.
Nathan Mitchell (1-0) got the win for the Colts pitching seven innings, giving up six hits, two earned runs and 3 strikeouts. Justin Craker picked up the save in the ninth inning; his fourth save this season.
Jose Luis Lopez (0-2) took the loss for the Aviators pitching seven innings, giving up six hits and four earned runs.
