Coastal Bend Aviators News Release
ROBSTOWN, Texas -The Coastal Bend Aviators lose the rubber match tonight 10-3 at home versus the El Paso Diablos. The Diablos took three of five against the Aviators in a lopsided loss once again.
The Aviators were outscored 30-8 in the three losses. The most recent went to Alex Dutka in his first start since coming out of the bullpen for a majority of the year. Matt Rohr was the number three starter behind Lopez and Trujillo. After a couple of rough outings, Rohr has been sidelined making way to Dutka.
Dutka could not get out of the third inning, surrendering 8 hits, and 5 runs, all of which were earned. He only recorded six outs before being relieved by Brandon Pello. The bull pen had to buy as many innings as possible, with Pello, Dan Henderson, Shawn Morgan, and James Lira all seeing action.
The Diablos scored 10 runs off 17 hits and committed only one error. The Aviators scored three runs off seven hits and committed one error themselves. The game lasted three hours and twelve minutes in front of a crowd of 1905.
Coastal Bend will be hosting a three game series with the San Angelo Colts starting Sunday, June 10th.
Sundays are Kid's Day at Fairgrounds Field. Kids 12 and under receive Reserve Seat tickets for just $2.00 with full price adult. Tickets are available through the Aviator's website, www.aviatorsbaseball.com or call (361) 387-8585. All games are broadcast on KCCT 1150 AM, and the Aviators website.
