The Aviators could never quite get their bats going in this one, losing on the road 4-0.
Zach Heeke was the main offensive bright spot, posting two of the team's four total hits. The Gems got off to a quick start, notching a 2-run homer in the first inning. They never looked back from there, posting one run each in the 5th and 8th innings.
The Aviators' will have to bounce back quickly, as their next game is also on the road against the Hannibal Hoots on Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35.
