Los Angeles Avengers News Release

LOS ANGELES - Even though it is the off-season, Avenger players, coaches and "A-Team" dancers regularly visit schools, hospitals and community events.

On Sunday, October 21, "A-Team" dancers Annika and Pennee took part in the Camp Ronald McDonald For Good Times 15th Annual Halloween Carnival at the Wadsworth Theatre in West Los Angeles. The event was to raise funds for children with cancer and their families. The "A-Team" dancers took the opportunity to sign autographs and interact with fans.

"It's great to come out and support these events for kids," Annika said. "These community events are great for kids and their families."

Nothing can compensate for the anguish that childhood cancer inflicts, but since 1982 Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times has helped thousands of children and their parents recapture hope, enthusiasm, and love of life in a medically and psychologically safe environment created especially for them.

For more information about the Camp Ronald McDonald For Good Times please visit their website http://www.campronaldmcdonald.org/goodtimes/index2.htm or call (800) 625-7295.

This past season, the Avengers finished second in the Western Division, compiling a 9-7 regular-season record before defeating the Utah Blaze, 64-42, at STAPLES Center to register the franchise's first postseason victory.

Avenger 2008 season tickets, which include nine games played at STAPLES Center, are on sale now at 1-888-AVENGERS or www.laavengers.com.
