The Erie Explosion football team will take the field in the Erie Insurance Arena to defend their CIFL (Continental Indoor Football League) championship under the sponsorship banner of AutoTrader.com. The announcement hails the partnership of a local champion with a titan of automotive advertising.

The Erie Explosion capped off their undefeated 2013 season by beating the two time defending CIFL champion Saginaw Sting 37 to 36 in a nail biter that went down to the last 45 seconds. Under Coach Shawn Liotta's 2014 mantra of "Reload-Explode", the Explosion looks to keep the CIFL championship trophy in Erie.

Team owner Bill Stafford welcomed the news. "We are excited to have AutoTrader recognize our accomplishments and join our season as our premier team sponsor. AutoTrader is hands down the leader in their industry and we all have felt a real boost in teaming up with them in 2014."

The face of AutoTrader in the Erie market, Erin Pritchard, looks forward to the partnership. "Not only does this allow AutoTrader to continue giving back to Northwest Pennsylvania community, it also affords an opportunity to let area dealers connect with indoor football fans."

Pritchard will be inviting select dealerships to join her at each home game and showcase their organization as part of its Autotrader relationship.
