Austin Bruins News Release
Austin, MINN. - The annual Austin Bruins All-Star Game goes in favor of the Team Black after a 3-1 win over Team Gold.
Forty Austin Bruin hopefuls took to the one final time trying to impress coaches and scouts and cement their place on the final Bruins roster. Team Black jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period with goals coming from Justin Kelly and Joe Winkelmann.
After a goalie switch in the middle of the second period, the netminders held tight until the third period when Team Gold finally got on the board. Rayce Jacob was credited with the goal to cut the lead in half, 2-1, in favor of Team Black. A strong Team Gold comeback ultimately thwarted with a Team Black empty-net goal coming off the stick of Dante Sheriff.
Team Black takes the 2018 Bruins All-Star Challenge with the win, 3-1.
