
Austin Aztex Add Front Office Staff

AUSTIN, Texas (October 29, 2014) - The Austin Aztex (www.austinaztex.com) are pleased to welcome Kelly Worthen, Nathan Snyder, and Jessica Baggetta to the front office of the organization. The latest additions will help the organization in their advancement to USL PRO, where the Aztex kick off their inaugural professional season in 2015.
Due to the continued growth in staff, the Aztex have signed a lease and will move to a larger office starting Nov. 3, 2014. The new office space, located at the Park North business complex located at 8200 N. Mopac Expressway, allows the Aztex to expand operations in ticket and sponsorship sales.
"The Austin Aztex have been very successful in hiring talent on and off the field," says Austin Aztex CEO, Rene van de Zande. "With the addition of these three experienced professionals to our front office staff we continue to strengthen the foundation of our professional soccer franchise in Austin.
Worthen joins the staff as Director of Sponsorships. He worked for Orlando City for the previous two years and was an integral part of the group that helped secure a MLS bid for Orlando in 2014. Worthen brings a number of skills sets to the table and has secured several high profile sports sponsorship clients in the past including Walgreens, Expedia, Hard Rock Café, Aflac, Sea World, Bass Pro Shops and the USTA among others. Before sports he was a corporate headhunter, owned his own staffing firm worked in other high volume sales arenas.
Snyder joins the staff of the Austin Aztex in the role of Director of Ticket Sales. Snyder has an extensive background in professional sport management as he has held a variety of positions in the sports industry. Most recently Nathan was the Director of Sales for the Rochester Knighthawks of the National Lacrosse League where he was responsible for leading a department that increased season ticket sales by 28% and group ticket sales by 32% in 2014. Prior to the position with the Knighthawks, Snyder was the Vice President of Operations and Assistant General Manager for the Rochester Rattlers of Major League Lacrosse.
Baggetta has recently been added to the Austin Aztex as the Education Manager overseeing the new Aztex Education Program. She was previously with the Texas Stars and Legends. Jessica has a diverse background, particularly focused on sports and non-profits and is excited to join the Aztex Front Office.
