Philadelphia Colonials News Release
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. â The Philadelphia Squires of the American Basketball Association (ABA) will hold dance team auditions on Saturday, July 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Villanova University's St. Mary's Gymnasium. The organization is looking for ladies with great dancing ability, poise and enthusiasm.
"There are thousands of strong, talented and beautiful dancers in the Philadelphia area who I want at these auditions," said Dance Team Director Tiffany Reader. "This is a great opportunity for local women to showcase their skills and join a team that will only be successful."
Additionally, the Squires want to get the community involved with the team right away. Therefore, beginning at 1 p.m., members of the public are invited to come register for a chance to judge the final cut of auditions. Even those who do not wish to be a judge are welcome to attend.
The auditions are open to anyone 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma. Interested dancers should visit the team's Web site at www.phillysquires.com to fill out an application. Dance team benefits include compensation, community involvement and the excitement of being a member of a high-energy, talented group.
