Maryland Black Bears News Release
Odenton, MD - The Maryland Black Bears hockey team, members of the North American Hockey League, announce a special partnership with iconic Maryland brands, OLD BAY® and Route One Apparel. On Saturday, January 28th at Piney Orchard Ice Arena (8781 Piney Orchard Pkwy, Odenton, MD 21113), the Black Bears will wear limited-edition OLD BAY-themed jerseys to take on the Northeast Generals at 7:30 p.m.
Combining the black and yellow colors of the home team with the iconic yellow, blue and red marks of an OLD BAY can, fans can place bids on 25 game-worn jerseys through an online auction. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Maryland Food Bank.
"The Maryland Black Bears are proud to partner with OLD BAY, a brand that is more than seasoning, and represents Maryland pride," said Robyn Remick, Black Bears President. "This special-edition hockey jersey represents the best of both of our organizations. More importantly, proceeds from the jersey auction will help the Maryland Food Bank and their fight to end hunger for individuals and families throughout our state."
The jersey was designed in collaboration with Route One Apparel, a company specializing in Maryland Pride clothing and accessories.
