Houston Dash News Release
HOUSTON - Three upcoming Houston Dash matches will be televised locally on AT&T SportsNet Southwest, presented by Shell Energy, the team announced today.
AT&T SportsNet Southwest will broadcast one home and one road match this season on its primary channel starting with Houston's match against OL Reign at Lumen Field in Seattle on Sunday, Aug. 7. The team's home matches against Washington Spirit on Aug. 27 and Angel City FC on Sunday, Sept. 11 will also air locally on AT&T SportsNet Southwest. The match against OL Reign and Angel City FC will air on the primary channel and the match on Aug. 27 will air on the alternate channel.
"Increasing the reach and engagement of the Dash remains one of our main goals and bringing these world-class athletes into more local households is an important step," Houston Dash president Jessica O'Neill said. "We'd like to thank AT&T SportsNet and Shell Energy for their commitment to the Houston Dash and soccer fans across our region."
The television voice of Houston Dynamo FC, Glenn Davis, will provide play-by-play commentary and longtime women's soccer journalist Jen Cooper will provide match analysis. Davis has called Dynamo matches for the last 11 seasons and has called international and professional matches at every level. Cooper has been a prominent voice in NWSL media circles since the league's inception, hosting the annual NWSL Draft live stream and calling games across the league on a variety of platforms.
The match on Aug. 7 against OL Reign will mark the first time since the 2016 regular season that a Dash game will be televised locally. The first three seasons of Dash local broadcasts aired locally on CSN Houston and ROOT SPORTS, and nationally by the NWSL league broadcast partners.
AT&T SportsNet Southwest offers a footprint that reaches all of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and the eastern part of New Mexico. For a TV guide and additional information, click here.
