
Atlanta United 2 vs Birmingham Legion FC Contest Postponed

TAMPA, Fla. - The USL Championship announced tonight the contest between Birmingham Legion FC and Atlanta United 2 had been abandoned at halftime due to a heavy rain and lightning that forced the teams from beginning the second half.
Under the USL Championship's rules, the game - which was tied 1-1 upon its suspension - will be replayed in its entirety from the opening kickoff.
A date for the rescheduled contest will be announced in the coming days as it becomes available.
ATL UTD 2 (3-4-3, 12 points) will return to action against Memphis 901 FC, July 3 at Fifth Third Bank Stadium (ESPN+, 7:30 p.m. ET).
