Atlanta Blaze News Release
Kennesaw, Ga. - Kevin Cooper, formerly of the Atlanta Blaze has been traded to the Chesapeake Bayhawks for John Yozzo-Scaperotta as well as the 2017 5th-Round Collegiate Pick. Cooper is a Midfielder now playing for the Bayhawks, and Yozzo-Scaperotta will soon light up the field for the Atlanta Blaze.
Cooper most notably has three goals, one two-point goal, and three assists totaling seven points for the Blaze. Though Yozzo-Scaperotta has not played a game for the Bayhawks, he will likely be playing for the Blaze, and will be a valuable addition to the offense.
Yozzo-Scaperotta played college lacrosse for Brown University, from where he recently graduated. In 2016 he played in 19 games, had two goals and 19 ground balls, a career high for the midfielder from New York. His senior year his shots on goal percentage was 100%, which beats even some MLL players in a game, showing his accuracy can be deadly whenever he sees the field.
The Blaze will play their next home game against the Charlotte Hounds on Friday, July 1st at 8 PM.
