Reading Express News Release

The Reading Express indoor pro football team will host a first-round IFL Playoff game on Saturday, June 18, at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pa. The team earned this home playoff game by winning the IFL's Atlantic Division Championship, their fifth division title since its 2006 inception.

We're taking a "bottoms up" approach with this playoff game. All seats will be sold on a best available basis.

"We've essentially cut the prices on all the best seats in the arena, and will concentrate on selling those first for the playoff game," said Tim Glase, general manager of the Reading Express. "We really hope to create as much energy as close to field-level as we can."

This tact is designed to bring the fans as close to the action as they can get.

Individual tickets are $20 for this playoff game. However, there's a very attractive group rate to take advantage of. For groups of six (6) or more, each ticket is just $15. If you act soon, you could potentiallysave as much as $8-14 per ticketdepending upon what section you sit in.

"The new group tickets approach is something we're excited about," added Glase. "In the past, we set ten tickets as the minimum number. What we've found, though, is that number is best within the reach of companies and organizations. Dropping it down to six gives an individual a better chance to round up some folks to take advantage of the group rate."

Season-ticket holders were given first chance to buy playoff tickets, and the response to the new pricing structure has been very favorable. "We're pleased with the initial response and the sales so far," added Glase. "This playoff game is a great opportunity for us to test a new ticket-pricing structure that we can consider for the entire 2012 season. We really like the concept; it's just a matter of finding a dial setting that best serves the fans and the organization. We'll assess the success we have during this playoff game and make decisions on 2012 accordingly."

The opponent on June 18 is still to be determined. With one weekend left in the regular season, a lot of attention will be on the Bloomington Extreme, Chicago Slaughter and Omaha Beef. One of those teams will be making the trip to Reading, Pa., for the June 18 game.
