Astros defeat Bristol, 3-2

Greeneville, TN- The Greeneville Astros returned home from a two day road trip to continue their winning ways at home by defeating the Bristol White Sox 3-2 for their second consecutive home win. CF Mitch Einertson blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the first along with C J.R Towles scoring on an error to give the Astros an early 2-0 lead. Bristol would tie the game up in the top of the second but DH Jordan Parraz hit a leadoff triple in the bottom of the inning and scored on RF Hector Hernandez's RBI groundout. It would be the end of scoring in the game as newcomer Levi Romero picked up his first win of the season in three shutout innings and Enyelbert Soto notched his third save of the season while extending his scoreless streak to start the season at 8 2/3 innings.

The Astros square off again with the Bristol White Sox tomorrow starting at 7:00 PM at Pioneer Park. It is All-Star T-Shirt Giveaway Night with gates opening at 6:00 PM. Theses teams move their battle up to Bristol on Saturday while coming back to Greeneville on Sunday for the 4th of July celebration with fireworks to follow the completion of the game. Tickets are still available for the Sunday, July 4th.
