Astros Add Pregame Concert to July Fourth Festivities

Greeneville, TN - The Greeneville Astros have announced that Annabelle's Curse will be performing a free pregame concert at 5:30pm at Pioneer Park on Thursday, July 4. The concert will take place prior to the Astros' home game against the Bristol White Sox. Then, immediately following the game, the area's largest patriotic fireworks show will be on display for all fans in attendance. Purchasing tickets to the game, ranging from $4-8, will be the only cost to attend and will include the pregame concert and fireworks show.

Gates will open at 5:00pm for the July 4th Celebration at Pioneer Park. As fans arrive, it will be Wellness Night presented by Laughlin Memorial Hospital and they will be on hand passing out special Fourth of July Greeneville Astros T-shirts while supplies last. The Astros will also be giving away a limited supply of 2013 magnet schedules as the gates open, courtesy of Terry, Terry & Stapleton.

Annabelle's Curse, the alternative-folk band from Bristol, VA, will begin producing their dynamic and explosive musical sound beginning at 5:30pm. The band will entertain up until the Astros begin their pre-game production which will include an honor guard presenting the colors on the field for the singing of the Star-Spangled Banner by Russ Crum. When the Astros take the field, they will be wearing a unique Stars and Stripes cap featuring their G-Star logo with a red, white and blue patriotic theme. These game-worn caps, only on July 4, will be available through a silent auction on the main concourse until the seventh inning. Proceeds from the purchase of these caps go to the Welcome Back Veterans program. The winning bidders will have the option to meet the player wearing their cap and get their autograph on the field immediately after the game.

Finally, to conclude the evening, the Astros' annual Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration presented by LandAir and Marsh Propane, will light up the night sky in the area's largest patriotic themed fireworks show. The show will be set to patriotic music and will be a spectacular display full of sound and color, all in honor and recognition of celebrating America's independence.
