
Ashton Bernard suspended four games

BOUCHERVILLE, Tuesday, February 17, 2009 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Disciplinary Prefect today announced that left-winger Ashton Bernard of the Shawinigan Cataractes has been suspended for a total of four games for attempting to injure a Lewiston MAINEiacs player during last Friday's contest. Bernard has already served one game of the suspension.
The decision was rendered after reviewing the videotape of the incident and after consulting all concerned parties.
In accordance with the QMJHL policy in the matter of disciplinary sanctions, the Disciplinary Prefect will not be available for further comment.
