Asheville Altitude News Release

GREENVILLE, S.C., January 4 – Kirk Penney will be returning to the Asheville Altitude after spending four games with the Los Angeles Clippers, according to an announcement today by NBDL director of basketball operations Chris Alpert and Asheville head coach Joey Meyer.

Penney, a 6-5, 220 guard, will be in uniform when the Altitude is host to Roanoke on Friday. To make room on the 10-man roster for Penney, the Altitude waived guard Nate Burton.

The 40th overall GATORADE Callup, Penney averaged 9.4 points and 2.1 rebounds in 12 games for the Altitude before signing with the Clippers. In four games played with the Clippers, he scored two points in 12 total minutes of action.
