YEAH, BUT WILL IT PLAY IN MANSFIELD? Columbus guard Ricky Minard's selection in the 2004 NBA Draft (2nd round, 48th overall by the Kings), and subsequent selection as the first overall pick in the 2004 NBDL Draft, was listed #6 on the list of the top 15 stories of 2004 by the Mansfield (Ohio) News Journal.

STOCKINGS STUFFED WITH GIFTS FOR...The Columbus Riverdragons, who were 9-0 in December, while the Huntsville Flight and Asheville Altitude posted 7-4 and 6-3 marks, respectively, during the month.

...AND COAL FOR OTHERS: The Florida Flame was 0-8 and the Fayetteville Patriots 1-7 during the year's most festive of months.

NEITHER NAUGHTY NOR NICE: The Roanoke Dazzle was 4-4 during December.

THIS WEEK ON NBA TV: NBDL programming abounds this week on NBA TV. Beginning Thursday at 3:30 p.m. ET catch two encore episodes of "Down Low: Life in the D-League", followed by the "NBDL Game of the Week" show at 4:30 p.m. and "This Week in the NBDL" at 9 p.m. The game of the week show features the December 23 Huntsville-Roanoke game.

MLK SHOWCASE: The MLK Showcase, featuring every NBDL team in six games over two days, is scheduled for January 16-17 at the Columbus (Ga.) Civic Center. The schedule follows:
