
Asheville Adds Reed Rawlings

GREENVILLE, S.C., March 1 â The Asheville Altitude has acquired forward Reed Rawlings from the NBDL available player pool, according to an announcement by league director of basketball operations Chris Alpert and Altitude coach Joey Meyer.
The Asheville roster has seen a recent flurry of activity, with three players earning callups to NBA teams over the last 13 days. Mamadou N'diaye just signed a second 10-day contract with the Atlanta Hawks and Desmond Penigar inked a second 10-day with the Orlando Magic today. Rusty LaRue signed a 10-day deal with Golden State today and Rawlings will take his roster spot.
Rawlings, 6-7 and 215-pounds, played in 116 career games at Samford University in Birmingham, Ala. ('00), averaging 27.7 minutes, 12.9 points and 4.5 rebounds. He also has international professional playing experience.
Rawlings is expected to be in uniform when the Altitude (14-15) hosts Charleston (20-12) Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. ET.
