
Asa Carter and Campbell Robinson Join on Trade from Austin

Dallas Jackals News Release
Dallas Jackals are happy to announce Asa Carter and Campbell Robinson are joining the Jackals in trade from the Austin AGs. Jackals also receive Austin's 2022 2nd Round Draft MLR Collegiate Pick and Salary Cap Considerations in 2022. Austin receives an International Slot for the remaining 2022 season (except against Dallas).
GM Elaine Vassie said, "Having spoke to Asa for the '21 Draft, I was very impressed by his on field work ethic and general outlook. To now be welcoming both him and Campbell, another young American who's a mobile and dynamic lock, is a really positive trade for us. I'm looking forward to both taking the field in the not too distant future as Jackals!"
Asa Carter
From Tulsa, OK, Carter began playing rugby in high school with Union Rugby Club. He represented his country on the U18 USA side, going to France for the European Championship.
Carter continued his rugby career in college attending Arkansas State University. Out of college, Carter was drafted 20th overall by the Austin Gilgronis.
Campbell Robinson
Robinson is from Roswell, Georgia where he played rugby in high school before attended Arkansas State on a rugby scholarship and continued his education and rugby career at Kennesaw State University.
He attended the USA All-American Camp in Chula Vista and played two matches for the Junior All-Americans Development Team.
Robinson went on to compete with USA Rugby South and signed with Pathway 404, Rugby ATL's Academy. He joined Rugby ATL for the 2021 preseason and later joined the Atlanta Rhinos in rugby league.
He then joined the Austin AGs Academy side Outlaws gaining a contract and making the game day squad for Round 1.
