(Charlottetown, PE) It was a tough, well played, high scoring basketball game Friday night at Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown as the Brampton A's erased a 4 point Island STORM lead at halftime to win 125-122.

The A's looked like it would be a fairly comfortable win down the stretch but the STORM wouldn't quit and the A's win wasn't assured until the final buzzer. The STORM played a very gutty game after losing their top scorer and rebounder, Brandon Robinson, early in the game when he turned an ankle and never returned.

Louis Birdsong led the way for the STORM with 22 points while Rashad Whack and Avery Smith each scored 21. Billy Rush had his best game in a STORM uniform with 18 points and 8 rebounds.

Flenard Whitfield was top gun for the A's with a double-double scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Akeem Scott added 22.

The STORM saw their recorded evened at 5-5 on the season while Brampton improved to 4-5.

The STORM are back on the court this Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock when the Moncton Miracles visit Eastlink Centre.

The winner of the Sherwood Mortgage Brokers Inc. draw was Jason Ling who gets his January mortgage paid for up to $1,000. This draw is made every home game of the STORM this season.
