January 12, 2015 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada)
Orangeville A's News Release

BRAMPTON, On.- The Brampton A's defeated the Halifax Rainmen by a score of 102-92 at the Powerade Centre Friday night. The A's now move to 9- 10 on the season.

Brampton hosted the Rainmen for the first time this season. The A's led for the entire first half as they cap- italized off of 15 Halifax turnovers. Despite shooting 0- of-11 from three-point range, the A's maintained a comfortable lead at the end of the stint.

TyShwan Edmondson led Brampton at the half with 12 points, while Thomas Granado grabbed six rebounds. Tyrone Watson registered 11 points for the Rainmen.

The A's carried the same control into the third quarter, until the Rainmen went on a 13 point run that at one point gave them their first lead of the game. Brampton did not allow Halifax to take the game from them, as the home team buckled down on defence to force var- ious steals and second chance opportunities. Key shots from beyond the arc by Akeem Scott and Melvin Coun- cil at the right moments solidified the victory for the A's.

TyShwan Edmondson led all scorers with 19 points off of a 53 percent field goal shooting performance. Thomas Granado recorded a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds. Watson finished the game with 17 points for the Rainmen.

The A's will host the Windsor Express for its second Toonie Tuesday game on January 13th for a 7 pm contest. For tickets please contact tickets@bramptonas.ca.
