Arrows Announce Return of Scrum-Half Brown

TORONTO, ON - The Toronto Arrows are pleased to announce that scrum-half Cole Brown has re-signed with the club for the 2024 Major League Rugby season.
Brown, 23, is returning to the Arrows for a third campaign after featuring in five matches for the club since debuting in 2022.
"I'm incredibly happy to be returning for my third season with the team," said Brown. "I love playing for the Arrows and being part of this group is a dream come true for me."
"Although we didn't achieve the results we wanted last year, I believe that challenging experiences create strong people and I'm excited to see our team's resolve heading into the 2024 season."
"There's a lot of work to be done before the season begins but I can't wait to be back in the team environment."
The five-foot-eleven, 190-pound graduate of the Arrows Senior Academy has posted 110 passes, 48 carry metres on seven carries, 13 tackles, three defenders beaten, one linebreak and one try - a memorable tally on his debut - over his first two seasons with the club.
The native of Pickering, Ont. represented Canada on the national under-20 side's tour to Portugal in 2020, and later participated in Rugby Canada's under-20 camp following the 2021 MLR season.
Arrow #78 is a graduate of the Ontario Blues junior men's provincial program and the McMaster Marauders post-secondary program, where he earned OUA All-Star honours in 2021 and 2022. He played his grassroots rugby with the Ajax Wanderers.
"As both a local product and a member of the first cohort of players to come through our Academy and play for the Senior Team, Cole's progression through our pathway is one we hope many young players throughout the Greater Toronto Area and beyond will emulate," said Tim Matthews, Toronto Arrows Vice President and General Manager. "Always ready when called upon, Cole took a big step last year, and we see him taking many further steps this upcoming season."
The club will be making additional signing announcements in the coming weeks as 2024 season preparations continue to build.
