Toronto Arrows News Release
TORONTO, ON - The Toronto Arrows are pleased to announce the signing of lock Jordan Brown for the 2024 Major League Rugby season.
The signing follows the club's acquisition of the rights to the Australian from Rugby ATL earlier this year.
Brown, 22, is coming off his first MLR campaign after appearing in six matches (three starts) and scoring once for Atlanta last season. The lineout threat also chipped in 67 carry metres on 14 carries, 43 tackles and 75 ruck arrivals.
After coming up through the junior ranks at New South Wales Rugby Union side Gordon, the six-foot-seven, 260-pound forward went on to make his grade rugby bow with the Highlanders before debuting in the Shute Shield with Southern Districts in 2020. His strong play in Sydney's top tier earned him a spot on the Waratahs 'A' squad for the 2021 Super Rugby preseason.
Brown represented England Students in 2022 while playing with Leeds Beckett University in England's BUCS Super Rugby competition.
Following the 2023 MLR season, Brown made his return to the Shute Shield with Manly.
The club will be making additional signing announcements in the coming weeks as 2024 season preparations continue to build.
