TORONTO, ON - The Toronto Arrows are pleased to announce that hooker Jack McRogers has re-signed with the club for the 2024 Major League Rugby season.

McRogers, 24, is returning to the Arrows for a sixth campaign after featuring in 40 matches (11 starts) for the club since its inaugural season in 2019.

"I am very proud to be back playing for the Arrows this upcoming season," said McRogers. "I love this city and this club."

"We have big goals for the 2024 season and I look forward to getting to work."

The five-foot-eleven, 235-pound forward has posted 720 carry metres on 137 carries, 234 tackles (92.1% completion) and 11 defenders beaten over his five years with the team. His nine tries rank fifth on the organization's all-time try-scoring leaderboard (second among forwards), while his 40 appearances are the eighth-highest match tally in club history.

McRogers earned his first cap for Canada in July 2022, coming off the bench against Spain to score a memorable debut try in Ottawa. The hooker also represented Canada at two World Rugby Under-20 Trophy tournaments, first as an under-ager in 2017, and again in 2018.

Arrow #38 is a graduate of the Ontario Blues junior men's provincial program and the McMaster Marauders post-secondary program.

"Jack has been a consistent presence on our roster since our club's first season in Major League Rugby, and despite already having played five professional seasons, he's still only entering his age-25 campaign," said Tim Matthews, Toronto Arrows Vice President and General Manager. "He's steady, durable, and conducts himself with the maturity of a far older player. We're very excited he'll be back playing for his hometown team this year."

McRogers played his grassroots rugby with the Aurora Barbarians and has remained closely involved with the club, where he currently serves as its senior men's team's head coach.

The club will be making additional signing announcements in the coming weeks as 2024 season preparations continue to build.
