Armada playoffs begin tonight

Get out to Blair Field on Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:05 PM as the Long Beach Armada host the Orange County Flyers in the first two games of the best-of-five South Division Championship.

Long Beach will send MLB veteran Seth Etherton to the mound on Tuesday. He will face OC ace Jesse Smith. On Wednesday, Etherton's former USC teammate Rik Currier will take the hill for the Armada as he squares off with Bob Cramer.

Wes & JR hit the airwaves on KLBC this afternoon

Tuesday September 2 marks the return of Wes The Sports Guy & JR Reed to sports talk radio. The duo begin the fall season on KLBC, an award winning college station, at 2 PM Tuesday for two hours of great sports talk. Wes is the brains of the operation and JR brings plenty of attitude, which makes for a great show!

Tentatively scheduled to appear this afternoon is Long Beach Armada Manager Steve Yeager. The Skipper should be on around 2:30 or 3 PM, but you can hear the whole show from 2-4 PM each Tuesday (and every Friday from 7-9:30 PM) at www.KLBC.ORG
