Armada FC Begin Taking Weekly Practices to Youth Soccer Clubs Around First Coast

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (April 20, 2015) - The Jacksonville Armada FC will hold evening practices at several youth soccer clubs around Northeast Florida over the next several months in the club's continuing efforts to reach out to the community.

The 'Armada Practice Tour' will be initiated with four practice visits over April and May. The club hopes to complete an additional practice schedule which will also see the team visit youth soccer clubs in the fall.

Each visit will include a full Armada practice session by the team followed by a chance for the youth soccer club and general public in the area to meet and greet with the Armada FC players and coaching staff after practice.

Current participating clubs include Ancient City Soccer Club in St. Augustine, Clay County Soccer Club, Jacksonville FC, Ponte Vedra Soccer Club, Players Development Academy Florida and Westside Soccer Club.

"We are extremely excited to begin this program of practice visits to the participating youth soccer clubs around the First Coast," said Armada FC President Steve Livingstone. "It is very important to us as an organization for our club to connect with the youth soccer and the communities they are in throughout our region and to engage with all youth soccer clubs directly. These are the first of what we hope are many practice visits and we encourage all clubs in our region to get in touch so we can bring the team out to them."

Armada FC General Manager, Dario Sala, added: "Our players and coaches are really looking forward to engaging with our young fans and encouraging them to work hard on and off the pitch. By bringing our practices to the community we hope to give the young players and their coaches a chance to see how a professional training session is organized as well as give them an up-close look at our players and their skills."

Armada FC players, coaches and staff begin the initiative on Monday, April 20 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Davis Park in Ponte Vedra. The off-site practices are currently scheduled for each Monday through May 11. More off-site practices are expected and will be announced at a later date.

May 11 - 5:30-7:30 p.m. - Clay County Soccer Club - Dennis Viollet Soccer Complex (4387 Lakeshore Dr., Fleming Island, FL 32003)
