Arkansas Diamonds News Release

(North Little Rock, AR) - The Arkansas Twisters, of the AF2, want to give the fans assurance about the upcoming season and how the AFL's recent economic troubles will have no affect on the upcoming 2009 season for the AF2 or the Arkansas Twisters. The AFL announced in a press release back on December 12th, 2008 that they would cease operations for the 2009 season. The AFL has every intention of returning for the 2010 season after they work on "long term structural improvements". This will have no effect at all on the Arkansas Twisters, the AF2 or the AF2's 2009 Season.

Jerry Kurz, President of the AF2, has said that "We are related, and we are part of the arena football family, but we operate separately with our own owners, budget, national sponsors and players, "Kurz said back in December. "We take them at their word in their recent press release - that they'd be back. Even in worst case scenario, though, it doesn't affect us a lick"

The Arkansas Twisters have a sound and stable financial model that they follow. As well as a strong and eager fan base that is geared up and ready to cheer on their Twisters as they compete for a Southwest Division Title and an ArenaCup Championship.
