
Arizona's Tan Named USL Player of the Week

TAMPA, Fla. - Arizona United SC forward Long Tan has been voted the USL Player of the Week for the ninth week of the 2015 season after he recorded a pair of goals to lead his side to a 3-2 comeback victory against the Austin Aztex on Saturday night.
Tan earned 40 percent of the vote, which was conducted by a national panel of independent media representing every USL market. Seattle Sounders FC 2 forward Andy Craven finished second with 33 percent.
USL Team of the Week
GK - Scott Goodwin, Louisville City FC: Had a pair of shutouts as Louisville took victories against Wilmington and Toronto
D - Dante Leverock, Harrisburg City Islanders: Came up big defensively as the City Islanders took a 2-0 victory against Charlotte
D - Mele Temguia, FC Montreal: Standout performance in defense as Montreal earned its first victory of the season against Charleston
D - Conor Shanosky, Louisville City FC: Scored a goal in both of Louisville's Week 9 victories, and also played a key role in a pair of shutouts
D - Ashani Fairclough, Wilmington Hammerheads FC: Scored a stoppage-time equalizer to earn the Hammerheads a point against undefeated Rochester
M - Milton Blanco, Arizona United SC: Excellent throughout, provided the assist on Long Tan's game-tying goal, and then earned a penalty kick for the winner
M - Rodrigo Lopez, Sacramento Republic FC: Earned a second consecutive berth as his league-high seventh goal of the season lifted Sacramento a 1-0 win against LA Galaxy II
M - Chad Bond, Tulsa Roughnecks FC: Had a strong two-way game as the Roughnecks defeated Orange County, including the assist on the game-winning goal
F - Christofer Ramirez, Orange County Blues FC: His two goals led Orange County to victory against Colorado Springs last Wednesday
F - Long Tan, Arizona United SC: Worked hard throughout, and scored a pair of goals as Arizona rallied for its first victory in more than a month
F - Andy Craven, Seattle Sounders FC 2: Led the line impressively, and scored a pair of goals as S2 remained perfect at Starfire Stadium with a 3-1 win against OKC
