Arizona Sting News Release
GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Arizona Sting General Manager and Head Coach Bob Hamley announced today the Sting's protected list for the National Lacrosse League (NLL) Expansion Draft. The draft is being held so that the expansion NLL franchise in Boston can begin building its roster.
The following players are on the Sting's protected list:
Goalie Rob Blasdell
Defense Bruce Codd
Defense Peter Lough
Defense Brad McDonald
Defense Bruce Murray
Defense Scott Self
Forward Matt Brown
Forward Craig Conn
Forward Dan Dawson
Forward Derek Malawsky
Forward Chris McKay
Forward Lindsay Plunkett
Forward Andy Secore
Forward Peter Veltman
The NLL Expansion Draft will take place Tuesday, July 31. Each NLL team is allowed to protect either 10 runners and 2 goalies, or 13 runners and 1 goalie, and can lose only one player. Boston will draft a total of 13 players, one from each of the current returning member clubs.
