Area Mascot Hospital Hop This Friday

Albany N.Y. - Capital District Sports, Inc. announced today that it will coordinate a Capital Region Sports Mascot "Hospital Hop" throughout the day on Friday, July 21, 2006. The goodwill endeavor featuring five of the area's sports mascots will provide entertainment for local children and adults who are patients at area hospitals.
"Capital District Sports, Inc. is proud to once again coordinate this event, which has been designed to bring children and area residents a bit of summer fun," said Communications Manager, Erin Cassavoy. "We would like to thank the other teams and local universities for their participation in helping us to provide entertainment along with a ray of sunshine for those who need it the most."
The "Hospital Hop" will include visits from Albany River Rats mascot, "Rowdy" The Rat, Albany Conquest mascot "KidQuest", Siena College mascot "Bernie", the University of Albany's "Great Dane", and "Southpaw" of the Tri-City Valley Cats. The tour will begin this Friday with a 10:00am appearance at the VA Hospital located on 113 Holland Avenue in Albany.
