Appleton Baseball, Inc. Holds Elections

November 17, 2009 - Midwest League (MWL) - Wisconsin Timber Rattlers News Release

GRAND CHUTE, WI - Appleton Baseball Club, Inc, the official name of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, held their annual stockholders meeting last week. There were two elections in conjunction with the meeting. The first was to fill five openings on the Board of Directors for the organization. The second was to elect a new Chairman of the Board.

Three members of the Board of Directors - Marc Snyder, Alan Stewart, and Ralph Evans - were re-elected by the stockholders for a term of three years. Kip Golden was elected to also serve a three year term. Doug Westemeier has been elected to serve a term of two years.

Stewart, an attorney at Godfrey & Kahn in Appleton, was selected by the Board of Directors to take over the Chairman's position for a two year term. Snyder, the Vice President of Finance for Bergstrom Automotive, will be the Vice Chairman of Appleton Baseball. Other executive positions on the board are Secretary, to be held by Kate Geenen and Treasurer, to be held by Jim Mathes.

The Chairman of the Board position was open due to Craig Dickman's two-year term expiring. Dickman had been chairman since November of 2007.

Evans, the Vice President - Human Resources for Menasha Corporation, has been on the board since 2007. Golden, a project manager for Keller, Inc., and Westemeier, Vice President of Sales for Heartland Business Services, are both new to the Board of Directors.

The Timber Rattlers open the 2010 season, their second as the Midwest League affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, on Thursday, April 8 against the Kane County Cougars.
