
'Ants Gain First Win of the Season

The FireAnts defeated the expansion Oklahoma Crude this past Saturday, 19-10. Wide receiver turned running back Shalando Jones ran for three FireAnts touchdowns on the night to propel Tupelo to their first win of the season.
Now, with a bye this week, the FireAnts are gearing up to take on the Houma Bayou Bucks on the road April 20th. Houma, winless so far on the year with an overall record of 0-3, also finds themselves in an off week, with preparations continuing, Houma will be tough as they look to gain some momentum on the turf.
Tupelo and Houma will square off Saturday, April 20th at the Houma Terrebone Civic Center starting at 7:30pm. You can listen to all of the home and away game action on WBIP 99.3FM and also on the internet at www.fireantsfootball.com.
