TUPELO, MS-The Tupelo FireAnts lost to the Ohio Valley Greyhounds, 73-24, Saturday night at the BancorpSouth Center.
Tupelo's TD's came at the hands of WR-QB Damon Smith and RB Chris Rainey with two markers on the night. 'Ants QB Todd Jordan completed 3 of 9 attempts for 45 yards. Smith came in to finish the game with 7 of 17 completions for 72 yards. On the defense, Reggie Smith led the team with 9 total tackles on the night.
Tupelo's record drops to 1-3 on the season, while Ohio Valley remains undefeated this season, 4-0.
The FireAnts take on the Austin Knights on home turf at the BancorpSouth Center, May 4, 2002. Kickoff is slated at 7:05pm. For more information, call the FireAnts at 620-BITE.
