
Another Huge Day for Thomas in 10-0 Shut-Out Win over San Jose

San Jose, CA - Cody Thomas homered for the fourth straight game and Leo Crawford pitched shut-out ball, as the Quakes smashed the San Jose Giants on Thursday afternoon at Municipal Stadium.
Thomas, who drove in four runs for the second straight day and for the third time in the last four days, helped the Quakes to improve to 7-1 at San Jose this year.
Crawford (4-0) turned in five scoreless frames, scattering four hits while striking out four, leading Rancho to their league-best 11th shutout of the 2018 season.
The Quakes got to Giants' starter Joey Marciano (0-3) in the third, as Connor Wong capped a three-run inning with a two-run double, giving Rancho a 3-0 lead.
Logan Landon opened the fourth with a solo homer, his 12th of the year to make it 4-0.
Cristian Santana ripped a two-run homer (15th) in the fifth, before Thomas put it out of reach with a three-run blast (15th) in the sixth.
Yeison Cespedes and Logan Salow teamed up for four scoreless innings, combining to allow just one hit and one walk.
The Quakes (61-44, 26-9) head to Modesto on Friday, taking on the Nuts in a three-game series. Issac Anderson (5-5) takes on Modesto's Austin Hutchison (1-1) in Friday's opener at 7:05pm.
