Wilmington Blue Rocks News Release

Wilmington, DE --- The Wilmington Blue Rocks are teaming up with Happy Harry's and 99.5 FM WJBR to once again bring an Easter Egg hunt to Frawley Stadium. This year's egg hunt will be held on Saturday, April 15 at 11:00 a.m.

The first 500 kids (12 and under) to register will get to participate in the egg hunt, which will take place in the outfield of Frawley Stadium. Blue Rocks Mascot Rocky Bluewinkle will also be in attendance.

"This is a great event and the kids always have a good time when they attend," Blue Rocks General Manager Chris Kemple said. "Last year's event was a big success and this year should be even better because it falls in the middle of opening weekend."

Parents can sign up their kids by calling the Blue Rocks at 302-888-2015, extension 0. Space is limited and reservations are needed to participate in the event.

The Rocks open the 2006 Carolina League season with eight in a row on the road, beginning on Thursday, April 6. Wilmington's home opener will be on Friday, April 14 against the Houston Astros affiliate, the Salem Avalanche.

Some of the great promotions this year at Frawley Stadium include nine fireworks nights and great giveaways such as Replica Batting Practice Jerseys. The Blue Rocks will also square off against popular major league affiliates such as the Washington Nationals and the current World Series Champion Chicago White Sox.
