SALT LAKE CITY (September 6, 2008) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that the club has recalled right-handed pitcher Jason Bulger from Triple-A Salt Lake.
Bulger, 29, has appeared in 37 games for the Bees in 2008, owning a 4-0 record with a team-low 0.63 ERA and 16 saves. In six games for the Angels this season, the 2008 All-PCL team member owns a 0-0 record with a 6.75 ERA. The Lawrenceville, Ga. native and 2008 PCL All-Star joined the Angels in a trade from the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2006.
The 2008 Pacific North Division Champion Salt Lake Bees are 1-2 in the 2008 Pacific Conference Championship series and face the Sacramento River Cats in Game four tonight at 7:05 p.m. MT.
