Angel City FC News Release
Los Angeles (September 4) - With a smile and a wave, Angel City Football Club's (ACFC) first player and US Women's National Team star Christen Press said, "Thank you for bringing me home!" to hundreds of fans at Albion Riverside Park in East LA.
Members of the team's dedicated supporter groups and fans braved the heat to see the LA-native soccer star as she joined them to pack over 1,200 hygiene kits for residents of the Downtown Women's Center. The service and welcome celebration featured a Q&A with ACFC Sporting Director Eni Aluko, team President and Co-Founder Julie Uhrman and VP of Player Development and Operations Angela Hucles Mangano as well as games, food, music and soccer skills.
Press will return to Los Angeles in early 2022 to begin practices ahead of ACFC's inaugural season beginning in April from the team's home Banc of California Stadium. For more information go to www.angelcity.com.
