Brookings Blizzard News Release

The Brookings Blizzard of the North American Hockey League are proud to announce that forward Conor Andrle has made his NCAA Division I commitment to play at Army next season.

Andrle played in 56 games for the Blizzard this season and finished the year second on the team in scoring with 34 points. His 16 goals were tied for the lead on the team. He also had 18 assists on the year. Because of his outstanding player, he was voted the Offensive Player of the Year by his teammates. In 34 games for the Blizzard last season Andrle had 17 points and was named the team's Rookie of the Year.

Andrle is a native of St. Louis Park, MN and a 2012 graduate of Breck High School in Minneapolis.

"Conor has done a lot for us over the last two seasons and you can really see how he has developed as a hockey player," said Blizzard head coach Cory Laylin. "He has good hands and great vision on the ice. He understands the game and knows when to capitalize on opportunities but also knows how to make the players around him better."

The Army Black Knights are a NCAA Division I program and compete in the Atlantic Hockey Association. Hockey was first played at Army in 1904.

Andrle will be an important part of an Army recruiting class that has been described as one of the best in the past 20 years.

"We wish Conor the best at the next level. It is a great thing for him, and for our organization, to see players move on to the next level," added Laylin.
