
Andrew Moritz, Odalvi Javier Named Farm Bureau Player & Pitcher of the Week

PEARL, MS - The Mississippi Braves and Farm Bureau are excited to announce that outfielder Andrew Moritz and relief pitcher Odalvi Javier have been named the Farm Bureau Player and Pitcher of the Week.
Moritz, 25, hit .416 with three doubles and five RBI in six games against Montgomery. He is currently on a 10-game hitting streak, an accomplishment he already reached from May 18-30 this season.
Moritz is batting .268 with 16 RBI and nine doubles in 39 games for the M-Braves. Atlanta promoted the outfielder from Rome to Mississippi on April 29.
Atlanta drafted Moritz in the sixth round of the 2018 MLB Amateur Draft.
Javier, 25, gave up no earned runs in 2 1/3 innings over two relief appearances against Montgomery. The right-hander has allowed no earned runs over his last nine games, covering 11 innings with 12 strikeouts.
Javier holds a 3.19 ERA in 33 innings this season. He has 37 strikeouts to just 11 walks.
Atlanta signed Javier as a non-drafted free agent on December 2, 2014.
