Andrew Dykstra Joins Battery on Loan from D.C. United

Charleston, SC. Goalkeeper Andrew Dykstra has joined the Charleston Battery on loan from Major League Soccer's D.C. United. Dykstra spent the 2011 season with the Battery earning six shut-outs with a GAA of just .98 in 16 games played.

Dykstra came to the Battery in 2011 after two years with Major League Soccer's Chicago Fire making seventeen appearances.

A native of Woodbridge, Virginia, Dykstra, 6-4, 195 lbs., 25 yrs., played his college soccer at Virginia Commonwealth University.

There will be a live radio broadcast of Saturday's game on 1340 AM with the pre-game build-up starting at 7:15 PM. Fans can also watch the game live online at www.uslnation.com.

There is a complimentary shuttle bus service from King Street in Downtown Charleston out to Blackbaud Stadium and then back downtown after the game. The shuttle will leave from Midtown Bar and Grill at 6:30 PM on game days; Midtown will be offering Happy Hour specials prior to departure! Space is limited so please make sure to get there in time to ensure a seat!
