Harrisburg, PA- The Harrisburg City Islanders and Philadelphia Union, the club's MLS affiliate, have announced plans to play an exhibition match on Tuesday, June 12 at 7:00pm. The Islanders will once again play host to the event at a location to be announced. This will be the third game played between the two clubs since the teams became official partners in March 2010.
The partnership between the two clubs is a unique one and a clear bridge has formed between the two sides, as a handful of players have joined the Union after playing in Harrisburg, including Sheanon Williams and Chase Harrison.
"We are once again thrilled to have the Union back in Harrisburg," General Manager John Gregg commented. "This game is one of our biggest draws of the season and an exciting opportunity for both our players and fans. This year's match will be especially memorable as we welcome back two of our former Islanders players."
As strong second half propelled the Union to a 5-3 victory in last year's match, while the two clubs battled to a 1-1 draw in 2010.
