Fargo-Moorhead Jets News Release

(Fargo, ND) The Jets will look to break the curse of the Outlaw when they travel to Mason City for the second time this season.

Already owning a 0-6 record against North Iowa thus far it's time to put up or shut up if they want to defend their division crown, especially in a hostile environment. It will take patience on the both ends and error free play to overcome the athleticism and discipline of the Outlaws.

North Iowa has been without G Robby Moss four weeks now and it appears he might be ready to go come Friday. The Outlaws are 3-3 without Moss and have used multiple tenders to seal the crease but nothing has worked consistently. After taking two of three against second place Springfield, North Iowa seems to be righting the ship in time for the Jets this weekend.

It has been a tale of two halves as the second half of the season starts on a positive note with Elliot Okland nailing down three straight wins on the road. In his last three starts he has allowing just four goals including a 6-0 shut out Monday against the Bobcats. Okland has picked up his game due in part to the team giving him clean looks at the shots on hand and this has definitely helped.

"I'm seeing puck better than ever now and I feel great every time I take the ice," he states.

The Jets have mustered only eight goals in those six losses and will take more than that to get a win on the road. Moss has owned the central for the most part, but can he come back from an injury and return to form? That is the question everybody's mind right now and the Jets hope to keep the playoff dream afloat this weekend in North Iowa.

Both games can be heard on fmjets.com starting at 7:10pm for "Open Skate," the official pre-game show followed by face-off at 7:35pm both Friday and Saturday night. The Jets return to action at the John E. Carlson Coliseum on January 12th for 80's Night at 7:05pm.
