
Anaheim Storm Fall One Goal Short to Colorado

Anaheim, CA (March 4, 2005) - After four games on the road, the Anaheim Storm (2-6) returned home Friday night to face the Colorado Mammoth (6-3). Playing an aggressive game, the Storm led the contest at the end of both the second and third quarter. After falling behind 10-9 in the fourth with two goals by Gary Gait (4g, 3a), the Powell brothers, Casey (3g, 1a) and Ryan (1g) scored three unanswered goals to bring the Storm ahead 12-10.
The game ended 13-12, Colorado, when they rallied late with three of their own unanswered goals by Josh Sims (1g, 1a), Gait and Scott Stapleford (1g).
Former Mammoth defenseman BJ Potter scored two goals for Anaheim putting him at seven goals and seven assists in seven games played this season. Forward Richard Morgan also recorded two goals in the contest. Five Storm players contributed with one goal apiece. Playing in goal for the Storm was Matt Roik who saved 30 of 43 shots on goal.
Next Sunday, the Storm face the Toronto Rock (5-3) at the Arrowhead Pond. The ball drops at 2pm.
