Amway Stadium Logo Officially Revealed

Grand Rapids - Yesterday evening, Amway Stadium unveiled its official logo among a crowd of local soccer fans ahead of the venue's opening in 2027.

The unveiling party marked an exciting moment as fans, staff and the community gathered to celebrate another step closer to the venue's opening. The event took place on Grand Rapids' West Side at Küsterer Brauhaus. Patrons had the opportunity to enter giveaways, support a donation drive, enjoy food and drinks, and watch the U.S. Men's National Soccer Team match against Portugal.

All soccer equipment collected from the donation drive was donated to the David D. Hunting YMCA, which is located downtown next to the new stadium. Soccer balls, youth cleats, youth shin guards and monetary donations were collected and will be used to support YMCA youth soccer programs.

"The generosity of our community makes everything we do possible," said Chief Operating Officer of the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids, Jamie Scaffidi. "Donations don't just support programs, they create safe spaces, open doors to opportunity, and remind our neighbors that they belong at the YMCA."

The Amway Stadium logo captures the energy and identity of Grand Rapids, featuring a silhouette of the stadium that many have come to recognize throughout the construction process. The logo colors include black, white and a shade of gold used in the Athletic Club Grand Rapids logo, creating a connection between the stadium and its primary tenant.

Amway Stadium will be the home of the new soccer team, AC Grand Rapids, with matches beginning in 2027. Darrius Barnes, AC Grand Rapids President, also attended the logo unveiling, greeting fans and future spectators.

"Amway Stadium will be an iconic reflection of Grand Rapids: bold, connective, community-driven, and built to last," he said. "AC Grand Rapids is honored to be part of this moment and to play a part in the ongoing positive transformation that is taking place across our city. We look forward to bringing world-class entertainment through the beautiful game, to the West Michigan community. The best is truly ahead."

The new Amway Stadium will be an important addition for Grand Rapids, bringing new jobs, boosting local businesses, and attracting more visitors to the city. Beyond the economic impact, it will also give the community a place to come together year-round for sports and other events, adding to the energy and pride of the city.

"We are thrilled to further the development of Grand Rapids as a premier sports and entertainment destination with the addition of Amway Stadium," said Amway Stadium General Manager Richard MacKeigan.
