
Americans Top the Sundogs in 3-2 Win

Prescott Valley, AZ - The Sundogs held the early lead over the Allen Americans but weren't able to hold them off. The Americans scored three goals in 60 minutes giving them the 3-2 win in front of 2,341 fans at Tim's Toyota Center Saturday night.
Arizona bounced back tonight putting up a fight against the Allen Americans in a 3-2 lose. Jake Hauswirth opened the night putting the Sundogs on the map just three in a-half minutes into the first 20 minutes. David Schlemko extended Arizona's lead in the second when he let off a slap shot from just behind the blue line. The Americans' Adam Pineault and Trevor Ludwig answered back finishing the period registering two goals to tie the game.
Jamie Schaafsma was credited with the game winning goal tonight when he scored 10 minutes into the final period. Aaron Dell of the Americans took the win blocking 40 shots while Arizona's Mike Spillane had 25 saves. The Sundogs were 1-11 on the power play while the Americans were 2-7. The Sundogs will head on the road for three games in three days when they visit the Ft. Worth Brahmas, Allen Americans and finish their tour in Tulsa Oklahoma.
