Shreveport DH Chad Gambill homered three times, drove in five runs and scored four runs to lead Shreveport past El Paso 16-1. Gambill's three homeruns gives him six on the season, which is the most by an American Association player in a single game. Overall the Sports hit four homeruns and had 15 hits in the game. Starting pitcher Bert Snow pitched five scoreless innings to pick up the win, his sixth of the season. For El Paso SS Albenis Machado went 1-for-2 and scored a run.

Pensacola scored seven runs in the first five innings and held on to knock off Fort Worth 7-4. 1B Tim Dorn homered and drove in three runs to lead the Pelicans at the plate. Starting pitcher Nick Maness allowed only two runs over six innings of work to pick up his first victory of the season. Closer Tony Pierce was perfect in the ninth to record his league leading 17th save. For Fort Worth tonight SS Marc Mirizzi went 3-for-4 with an RBI.

St. Joe LF Cory Harris went 3-for-5 with an RBI and scored two runs to lead the Blacksnakes past Coastal Bend 5-3. The win was St. Joe's fourth in a row. Relief pitcher Shingo Mitsumori pitched a perfect seventh inning and picked up his second win of the season. Closer Jamie Tricoglou was also perfect in the ninth to record his 12th save of the year. Coastal Bend SS Jack Joffrion went 2-for-4 with an inside-the-park homerun, his third homerun of the season.

Lincoln 1B Paul Powell went 5-for-5 with an RBI to help the Saltdogs past Sioux City 8-6. The win was Lincoln's eighth in a row. LF Pichi Balet added two hits and two RBI to the offensive attack as well. Relief pitcher Jason Howerton pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings to pick up the win, his second of the season. Sioux City 3B Ryan Gripp went 4-for-5 with an RBI to lead the Explorers.

Sioux Falls DH Bubba Smith and 1B Abner Arroyo combined for six hits and four RBI to lead the Canaries past St. Paul 8-6. 3B Chris Hall added a homerun and two RBI of his own to the powerful Sioux Falls offense. Relief pitcher Jason Cierlik pitched a scoreless inning to get the win, his third of the year. Relief pitcher Matt Montgomery pitched a scoreless ninth to record the save. St. Paul 3B Pat Scalabrini and CF Robert Fischer combined for three hits, two homeruns and five RBI to lead the Saints.
