From then on Lincoln would add on 5 more runs to their lead to finish the game with seven. Pensacola had chances early in the game to catch up to Lincoln in the second inning but instead left more than three runners stranded between the first and third inning. Pensacola's pitching staff had a rough outing as well. Losing pitcher Clint Sodowsky gave up 6 runs in his debut with Pensacola, and unintentionally hit a couple of players throughout the course of the game. Overall it was a great day for Lincoln who won the game with 7 runs on 8 hits and no errors, and a rough day for Pensacola who ended up getting shut out though getting six hits and did not commit an error through out the game.
