Sioux Falls opened the scoring against St. Paul, picking up a run on two hits in the top of the first inning, and just piled on from there. Leading 5-0 in the top of the fourth inning, the Canaries took advantage of an error by St. Paul LF Brian Sprout to score three runs and stretch the lead to eight. The Saints made an attempt at a comeback, as they hammered Sioux Falls starter Pat Mahomes in the bottom of the seventh inning, scoring four runs without getting an out. But the Canaries bullpen finished off the Saints, getting three innings of one-hit ball from relievers Aaron Garrison and Kris Regas, giving Sioux Falls a 9-5 win. The Canaries were led offensively by LF Cameron Coughlan, who had a game-high four hits in five at bats with three runs and two RBI.

The first third of the Coastal Bend-Pensacola game was full of offense, as the Aviators and Pelicans scored seven runs combined. But with two exceptions, the final six frames lacked any offense to speak of. Coastal Bend and Pensacola each scored two runs in the first inning. But the Aviators again struck for two runs in the top of the second, taking the lead for good. Leading 4-3 in the top of the fifth inning, the Aviators got RBI singles from CF Chase Gerdes, C Steve Ketter and DH TJ Hendricks to score four runs and take an 8-3 lead. The Pelicans threatened in the eighth inning, but after a bases-loaded hit batsman cut the lead to four runs, RF Chris Reynolds grounded into an inning-ending double play. Starting Aviators pitcher Derrick Van Dusen evened his season record at 6-6, allowing four runs on 11 hits with no walks and six strikeouts, with reliever Tim Haines picking up his first save.

The Cats trailed 3-0 entering the top of the seventh inning, but put together a solid frame and tied the game at 3-3. The score remained tied through regulation, forcing a 10th inning, when a costly mistake by Fort Worth in the bottom of the extra inning sent the Sioux City fans home happy. With two outs and pinch hitter Billy Cox on first, 3B Jake Daubert singled to right center, sending Cox to third. But an error by Cats RF John Molynex allowed Cox to cross home plate and give Sioux City a 4-3 win. Explorers reliever Matt Wilkinson pitched the final two innings and allowed only one hit with a walk and two strikeouts to earn his fourth win of the season. Sioux City LF Jorge Moreno had a team-high two hits and two RBI in four at bats.

Leading 2-1 in the top of the third, the Blacksnakes pushed their lead to three runs thanks to a two-run shot by RF Curt Miaso. But Lincoln chipped away at the lead and in the bottom of the fifth inning, took their first lead of the game on a solo home run by 2B Josh Patton. St. Joe tied the game in the top of the sixth thanks to a Lincoln error. But in the bottom of the frame, another solo shot, this one off the bat of Saltdogs CF Ross McCoy, gave Lincoln the lead for good. The Saltdogs added on an insurance run in the bottom of the seventh, making the final score 7-5. Saltdogs RF Bryan Warner had a game-high three hits, one of which was his ninth home run of the season, to lead Lincoln to victory.
