Winnipeg 4, Gary SouthShore 2 (11 Innings)
The Winnipeg Goldeyes doubled up the Gary SouthShore RailCats 4-2 after eleven innings thanks to 10 hits and a solid effort from the pitching staff. With the game tied 2-2 heading into the bottom of the 11th inning, CF Reggie Abercrombie hit a walkoff two-run homer to send the Goldeyes to victory. The home run salvaged a fantastic start from Chris Salamida, who went 8.1 innings without allowing an earned run. He struck out seven batters and walked none while working around eight hits to keep Winnipeg in the game long enough for Abercrombie to send them to victory in extras.
St. Paul 11, Kansas City 7
The St. Paul Saints outhit the Kansas City T-Bones 15-7 to pick up an 11-7 win. 2B Sam Maus charged the St. Paul lineup with three hits out of the leadoff spot, including a double, two runs and an RBI. 3B Henry Wrigley also picked up three hits, going 3-4 out of the cleanup spot with two runs and two RBIs. Mikey Mehlich was credited with the win after two innings of two-run relief work.
Lincoln 5, New Jersey 2
The Lincoln Saltdogs took down the New Jersey Jackals 5-2 after a deep outing from Nick Green and an 11-hit performance from the offense. Green started on the hill and went 8.2 innings against the Jackals, allowing just five hits and two runs (one earned) while striking out seven batters and walking one. He handed the ball off to Marshall Schuler for the final out of the game and he picked up the save after striking out the final batter of the game. CF Matt Forgatch and 2B Luis Nunez sparked the Lincoln offense by hitting their first and third home runs of the season, respectively. Forgatch had a 2-4 day while Nunez went 1-5.
Wichita 5, Amarillo 1
The Wichita Wingnuts held the Amarillo Sox to just one run to pick up a 5-1 victory. LF Carlo Testa paced the Sox offensively, going 3-4 out of the five-spot. Testa homered for the fourth time of the season, doubled twice and drove in three runs while providing most of the run support for Amarillo starter Justin Klipp. In his succesful bid for the win, Klipp threw seven innings, scattered seven hits and allowed one run while striking out two and walking none.
